Semalam, 081016 tuhan beri aku peluang untuk pergi melawat satu gereja dekag dengan rumah aku kat sini. Bila aku cakap dekat memang dekat. Dalam 1 minit jalan kaki? Silang berapa rumah je. A protestant church. To be honest i was a little bit shocked when i first know about this sebab before ni hanya bunyi ketukan paku dan bumbung sahaja yang aku dengar dari tingkap bilik. Lepastu senyap. Bila on the way balik rumah dari sekolah terkejut ada lambang christian dekat dengan rumah. Bukan apa, first time.
After that i asked my host mom about it.
Tapi aku tak tahu yang church tu masih belum buka. Jadi semalam ada opening ceremony aku pergi dengan obachan (my host grandma). We were amazed by the beauty of it. Its not like normal church where you saw on television where there a lot of paintings everywhere on the wall, surprisingly, it was more modern style. Not like i was expected. I dont know if it because it's not the same religion i saw or what. I dont feel intimidated when i was inside. It feels more like school to me. I was staggered when i realised how convenient it is. There like eating hall, kitchen with every important equipments and also toilet for the disabled people. Can you imagine how convenient it is? They also think about those people. And that what make people want to come there often (i think)
Sebenarnya aku dah lama nak melawat gereja. Membesar di sebuah negara yang ada pelbagai bangsa dan agama buat aku tertanya tanya tentang kehidupan agama diorang. Bukan kerana aku tidak puas dengan agama aku, cuma aku haus pengalaman. So aku nekad, bila sampai jepun at least aku nak melawat gereja sekali. Lihat macam mana mereka menyembah Tuhan mereka. Because actions speak louder than words right?
Not only that but we (me and obachan) were served with some japanese sweets and tea. And also we got to choose one postcard. Like you can see in the picture, i chose momo! Japanese for Peach! I really like how welcomed they are to me despite the differences in our religion and despite how the media presented my religion nowadays. Alhamdulillah, masih ada yang memahami ;)
